THE BEGINNING
Lion Budokan Karate International (LBKI) was founded in Auckland, New Zealand, by visionary Shihan Mohiuddin Syed. Our mission from day one: blend traditional karate with modern, practical self-defence to create a martial arts experience unlike any other.

Expanding to Australia under the Budo Academy of Martial Arts and Fitness, we continue our mission to build a strong, supportive martial arts community — where every student, regardless of age or background, is empowered to grow.
